Questions, answered

The things parents ask us most.

Getting started

How do I know if my child needs therapy?

You don’t need a diagnosis, or even certainty, to reach out. If something feels off, whether it’s friendships, following directions, speech that’s hard to understand, or how your child breathes and sleeps, that’s reason enough for a conversation. The quickest way to find out is a free 15-minute consultation, or start with the 2-minute check-in. Kelsey will give you her honest read, including if therapy isn’t needed.

What if it turns out my child doesn’t need therapy?

Then that’s a genuinely good outcome, and we’ll say so. You’ll leave the consultation with reassurance, a sense of what’s typical, a few things to keep an eye on, and an open invitation to check back in whenever you’d like. Coming in early and hearing good news is never a wasted visit.

What happens at the consultation?

A relaxed 15-minute call by phone or video. You tell Kelsey what you’ve been noticing; she listens, asks a few questions, and shares her honest read on whether an evaluation makes sense, including when it doesn’t. No forms to fill first, no cost, and no pressure to move forward.

Cost & insurance

What does it cost?

We’ll walk through pricing together at your free consultation, once we understand what kind of support might fit. We’re a private-pay practice, and we provide superbills on request for families who wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement.

Do you take insurance?

We’re a private-pay practice, which is how we keep sessions unhurried and completely tailored to your child. On request, we provide itemized superbills you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement or use with HSA/FSA funds.

Our approach

We think our child may be autistic. What’s your approach?

We support your child as they are: presuming competence, following their lead, and honoring the way they naturally connect and communicate, never working to make them someone else. Families seeking affirming care are at the heart of this practice.

What does mouth breathing have to do with any of this?

Sometimes a lot. How a child breathes, rests their tongue, and uses their mouth can affect sleep, energy, attention, and speech clarity, and it’s a part of the picture that often goes unnoticed. Kelsey screens for these patterns so an underlying cause isn’t missed while symptoms get treated.

My toddler isn’t talking much yet. Should we wait and see?

You don’t have to wait and wonder. Early support is built around your family’s real routines, and a free 15-minute conversation can tell you a lot about whether now is the moment. If watchful waiting is the better call, Kelsey will say so plainly.

Still have a question?

The best answers come from a quick conversation. Fifteen minutes, no pressure.
